The Roots of the Luberon Lavender Museum
Founded in 1991 by Georges Lincelé, a producer and distiller of fine lavender in Lagarde d'Apt, the museum was established with the aim of preserving lavender and its history. It houses his personal collection of stills dating from the 16th to the 20th century in a unique location at the heart of the Luberon. There, he shares his knowledge and expertise, continuing the legacy of his grandfather Venance (a distiller in 1890 in Saint-Christol) and his father Marius, championing what he calls “the charm of Provence” - true lavender.
Today’s Generation: Continuing fine lavender Legacy
Today, his son Jack, also a lavender grower and distiller, continues this beautiful adventure by offering new perspectives for visits, animations, and summer workshops, as well as an exquisite range of organic cosmetic products and designer fragrances made with essential oil of fine lavender from his harvests.
Surrounded by his enthusiastic team full of ideas, they put together a varied program with guided tours, educational botanical explanations, films, and workshops to provide a complete and wonderful experience, showcasing the finest lavender of Provence.
Passionate Lavender Farmers & essential oil distillers
“We are lavender farmers, extracting from our soil the purest and most noble expression of agriculture: an exceptional lavender, unique in the world, non-genetically modified, natural, honest, and expressive, which, beyond time and place, continues to enchant us, ignite our passions, and touch us deeply.”
Jack Lincelé
