This is a true sensory journey for adults and children aged 11 and up: touch, smell, see, hear, taste.

Workshop Description:

The sensory workshop is a blind tasting focused on fragrant plants, engaging all five senses.

1. Discovery Boxes
   You’ll dip your hands into discovery boxes, feel textures with your hands, smell scents with your nose, and see colors... What plant is this? What does the sensation of touch remind me of? What memories does the scent bring back?

2. Listening to Sounds
   What scent does this sound remind me of? Which discovery box, fragrance, or texture does it relate to?

3. Tasting Syrups
   Tasting syrups without color... it’s tricky to taste without your eyes. You’ll need to disconnect your brain!

4. Creating a Scented Filter
   How do perfumers calibrate different extracts? Using the concepts of top notes, heart notes, and base notes, you’ll create your own scented filter using essential oils, which are the raw materials of the perfumes sold in the museum shop!
